There are hundreds of interesting festival happen in Spain every year. Below are 5 most signature festivals that cannot be missed when visiting Spain.

 1.Semana Santa Festival

Semana Santa festival happens for a week before Easter. Though Semana Santa festival happens in every city in Spain, there are only four cities that are famous with this festival : Leon, Valladolid, Malaga and Seville. All the local Christians will attend the parade around the city.

2.San Fermin Festival

San Fermin festival, as known as Pamplona Bull Run, is annually organized in July. It happens for the whole week in Pamplona, Spain. The highlight of this festival are bullfighting and bull chasing. These activities usually start from 8 in the morning.

3.Tomatina Festival

Tomatina festival, or The Tomato Battle, is so far the most unique festival in Spain. This festival is organized in Buñol – a small town in Valencia – on the last Wednesday of August. The most interesting about this festival is probably the food fight, in which the participant throw tomatoes to each other. In fact, Tomatina is also considered the World’s biggest food fight.

4.Las Fallas Festival

Las Fallas festival is organized from March 14th to March 19th in Valencia. This festival happens for five days before St Joseph’s Day. On this day, all the families in town will build huge sculptures to burn on the last day of the festival with the meaning of winning difficulties from mother nature.

5.Feria de Sevilla Festival

Feria de Sevilla is organized two weeks after Easter holiday in Sevilla. This one-week festival is also considered the second Easter and can only be found in Sevilla. In Feria de Sevilla festival, tourists can see the Spanish charming flamenco dance, thrilling pullfightings as well as the horse races – signature things of Andalusia.
