The temple is one of the most famous destinations in Hanoi. It is a group of architecture and culture, which is the pride of Hanoians as well as Vietnamese people. This is the site of Vietnam's first national university. The 'temple' moniker attests to how inextricably linked learning and religion were back in the year 1070 when it was built by Emperor Ly Thanh Tong. This first university educated thousand of talents for the country of Vietnam in the independent feudal period.
