Things to do in a day while transit in Singapore

While transit in a short time, you can still take advantage to discover many famous destinations in Singapore.

Now, many people choose flights transit in Singapore because they want to take advantage to check in this country where although it's small but extremely civilized. Singapore’s Changi International Airport is repeatedly voted the best airport in the world. Changi Airport has a bus service to go around this country and just give for guests transit a few hours.

If you want to explore by yourself, you also can make a tour schedule for own way, below is a few suggestions, but only a remark don't forget time and miss your flight, it's really bad

9h am: have breakfast Singapore style in Chinatown


Food stall in Singapore open quite late. You should go at 8h30 am from airport, then use MRT or take a bus to ChinaTown, this place has many delicious dish and affordable. Going MRT is very easy, you just focus in signposts. You can eat porridge or fried noodle in a store on the Smith Street or Hong Lim Complex address 10 Upper Pickering Street.

10h am: Go to Sentosa Island by train.


From Chinatown, after had breakfast, you keep moving by MRT subway to Harbour Front, switch to Sentosa Express train to the most famous resort in Singapore where has Universal park.

10h30 am: Walk around island

However, you shouldn't stay here too long, maybe you will forget time. So you should just visit, don't play games in Universal or Casino.


Because of the limited time, you should take a bus to visit the entire landscape of Sentosa, that is reasonable choice. If you love walking and beach, you can stop at Palawan Beach, Beach Station, Tanjong Beach to sightseeing and breathe clean air.

12h pm: Have lunch at Maxwell Road Hawker Centre


Come back to centre by MRT, you should experience a lunch at the famous culinary center Maxwell Road Hawker Centre, located near Chinatown station, there are many dish with affordable and characterized Asia in food stall. Maxwell Road Hawker Centre located at 11 South Bridge Street.

13h: Visit Hindu temple


Not far away is Sri Mariamman temple with unique architectures and sculptures, engraving the colourful Gods from the outside. This is the oldest Hindu temple in Singapore, was built since 1827 and tourists can't dismiss when to Chinatown

14h: Check-in Esplanades theatre


Most tourists photograph with background is the famous theatre when arrive here, architectural of theatre simulate the durian. Next to that is the Sphinx and the Marina Bay Sands hotel on other side of the bay.

You can move by bus, foot, but fastest way still is MRT because you have to save time.

16h: Shopping at Orchard


Orchard is the Singapore's famous fashion road. To get to Orchard, you keep moving from Esplanades to Dhoby Ghaut station, walking a short distance follow signposts. All fashion brands of Singapore are here. Just as there are many shops and business center so you shouldn't stay anywhere too long. Remember, you still have a little bit time to shopping at airport.

18h: Discover Little India


Not far away from Orchard, you keep moving by foot from Dhoby Ghaut station, take about 10 minute, you will arrive Little India with many colorful buildings. Now, let's go around and take a lot of photographs before find out a restaurant at Food Palace Sakunthala on Race Course Road.

20h: Enjoy a special cocktail


After had dinner, you can find out the Long bar, near Singapore Raffles hotel, this place creates many famous types of cocktail in the world. Tourists can move by MRT train to Esplanade and then walking about 900m

21h30: Walking, take a lot of pictures at Boat Quay and Clarke Quay

From the Long Bar, you keep moving by foot to North Bridge Road to get to Boat Quay where is one of the Singapore's most eventful entertainment areas in the night. You can stay on Elgin bridge and take some beautiful photographs.


Clarke Quay has a lot of bars that open until early morning. If remain a little bit time, you can keep moving to bars or sit on riverside, enjoy the beauty of Singapore in the night


22h30: End up the trip

In case, your transit time is shorter, you can choose a few activity that you feel like it in all of activites above
