Weekend at canebrake in Long An

If the canebrake in Dist.2, Saigon is not new and fresh anymore, you can visit this large canebrake in Duc Hoa district, Long An.

To reach here, you should follow highway 10, through Binh Tan District and go 2-3kmm farther, you will realize a white canebrake at your right.

The canes bloom and make a white color for a whole area. Although near highway, the canebrake here is not crowded with people, only wind, canes and the sound of people calling each other.

When the sun comes up at the roof of houses and factories, it is still fog and the smell of insect, it is the time people come here to take photos.

If it is rainy in previous day, you have to wait sunrise until all the canes are dry. It would be the most ideal at 7-8 am to take photos.

Standing in the center of a large cane brake, faraway are factories, you may feel the world is too big and you are so small. The wind blows the canes and makes a wonderful scene.

Most of people come to this canebrake are the young and couples to take photos or photographers to keep the most impressive scene.

On the left of the canebrake is bunch of dry trees. Every time when the wind blows, it brings the some seeds of canes to that bunch of dry trees and it looks like snow flowers. That is the specialty attracts people. If you come here, don’t forget to take a photo of this scene.

There are some areas that canes are higher than the others. Here are some photos taken by Xuan Loc.
