What is the most beautiful churches in Hanoi, Vietnam?

The value of the architecture and exquisite beauty of the oldest churches in Hanoi are still appraised after nearly 100 years and making Hanoi more beautiful.

St Joseph’s Cathedral was completed in 1887 by Monseigneur Pigneau de Hehaine. It was closed in 1975 upon the reunification of Vietnam, and was not reopened until 1985

The neo-gothic style of the cathedral looks somewhat out of place in the busy streets of Hanoi, although it's built in what's considered to be the French quarter of the city.

The large space of the church is appreciated one of the most ancient and beautiful church in Vietnam with colourful window glass, to the religious painting for decoration follows Western style, the main interior part is decorated in Vietnamese way with two typical colours yellow and red. Outside, in front of the cathedral is the statue of Mother Maria

Cua Bac church is a Roman Catholic church in Hanoi, Vietnam. Originally named as Church of Martyrs, the church was built in 1932 by the French priest cum architect, combining the Asian – European style. It does not follow the rules of symmetry, with a high bell tower on the right and in balance with the central dome. Cua Bac Cathedral, one of the most beautiful churches in Ha Noi, is located in Ba Dinh District. The Cua Bac Cathedral is not only a religious address but also an architectural work with many unique features.  In November, 2006, the Cua Bac Catholic Church became the venue of joint worship service of the Vietnamese Catholics and Protestants with participation of the United States President George W. Bush, who was on an official visit to Viet Nam.

Ham Long is a Roman Catholic church in the centre district Hoan Kiem of Hanoi, Vietnam. The church was built at the end of the 19th century near an old street named Ham Long from which Ham Long church was called.

The work was designed by a Vietnamese architect. The 17m high church was completed in December 1934. The columns and altars are decorated with rope motifs like those on the tunic of the Francis order. The church’s patron saint is St. Anthony of Padua.

The church is located in the village of Phung Khoang in Trung Van commune, Tu Liem district, Ha Noi, close to Ha Noi - Ha Dong road, about 10 km from the Sword Lake. The space here is typical for a peaceful rural Viet Nam. The church was built in 1910, in French neoclassical architecture.

 It is also known as the Lang Tam or Thinh Liet Church built in 1911 on a wide area, spacious located in Thinh Liet village, Hai Ba Trung district. This is a famous family that contributed many important figures for the Vietnamese dynasties from the early 15th century to the early 20th century, as well as many famous writers for Viet Nam during the five centuries.  King Le Hien Tong granted this family with a horizontal lacquered board with four letters "Son Nam Vong Toc" (A big family in Son Nam).  The church was built on the ground of the family te
