How far in advance should we plan a honeymoon?
Nine to twelve months is ideal for most honeymoons, and earlier for peak-season safaris, the Maldives over the festive period, or Japan in cherry-blossom season. That said, Crossing has designed complete honeymoons in a matter of weeks — advance notice widens the options, but it has never been the thing that makes a honeymoon.
What does a travel advisory do that booking directly doesn't?

Crossing works on a design-fee basis for fully bespoke journeys; we'll set this out transparently in our first conversation, before any planning begins.

Can a honeymoon combine more than one country?
Yes — multi-stop journeys are a Crossing specialty. The craft is in the connections: pacing the route so it never feels like a tour, placing the restful chapter where you'll want it, and making every handover — flight, transfer, arrival — feel like part of the same considered whole rather than three separate bookings.
Do we need to travel immediately after the wedding?
Not at all. Many couples now take a short "mini-moon" close to home and travel properly a few months later — it often means better seasons, better availability, and arriving with the energy the trip deserves. We frequently plan both.

A Journey, Recounted
They met at Duke in the first week of freshman year — he from London, she from Boston — and by the time they married, both were living in Manhattan; their honeymoon was not one journey but a sequence of small ones.
Venice, which lends itself to romance in a je ne sais qois way. Sardinia at Capo d'Orso, for a deck under the pines and very little else to do; then Ibiza, chosen for a different kind of quiet. Paris had come earlier, a few months before the wedding, a first chapter written out of sequence. Short stays, closely composed, so that the whole read as one long sentence rather than separate ones.
The groom is the founder's son. The standard did not change; it never does.
